New Forum

I’m back!! And please don’t ask where I have been.

Anyway I found a wonderful new forum with lots of sincere helpful people who work from home. I hope to participate as a volunteer writer and give back some of the help I have received from the Warrior Forum.

I have branched out into a retail field providing multiple products. So far so good. Still working on networking and socializing.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Father’s day. I’ll be updating again soon.

Right Side Up

Life can shift on you so quickly. Some responsibilities increase making it necessary to decrease others. I’ve been doing a lot of studying and researching and things are beginning to cluster into groups I can manage.

I created a website only to realize I’ll be working in a different area. All the Gurus tell me this is ok. For every success there are several failures and the longer I work at this the more successes I will experience.

I created a one year goal schedule with things to be accomplished each month. This has been a tremendous help as long as I remind myself it is a working schedule. I may exchange one goal for another, but I will try not to reduce the number of goals.

There are a couple of interesting IM sites and resources I would like to share. I am just waiting to introduce them properly.

An “aha” Moment

The folks in the Warrior Forum inspired me to create this blog, and the quote below is from Steve Gunn:

“Let me propose a bit of a compromise. If you have a passion or a hobby, do 15 minutes of research first to see if any one else is doing it and making money…Bottom line, if there are other sites similar to your idea ranking for keywords related to your idea, you’re on the right track.”

I may have read this a million times before, but it just sank in. Why do my “aha” moments come when I’m dead tired and overworked?

I really need to build my own website and the next lesson in my textbook is “Creating a Web Page Using Word” How funny is that? My host is Hostgator and they have Cpanel and templates so I just need to jump in there and get to work.

Where to Begin?

I just participated in an exercise from Ken’s Project which confirmed something that I already knew. Everyone seems to be saying find your passion and create your business around your passion. I finally admitted what my passion is. Now I have to figure out how to monetize it.

Really, I have to figure out how to supply the needs of future clients on the subject that interests me the most in the area of finance. This will require some study and research, but I have my textbooks, the internet, and access to online classes. This discovery is really great, because I can write about what I know and study what I don’t until I am able to offer something wonderful which will fill people’s needs.

Now that was simple!
